Summary

Bento describes how it intends to transform from a company listed on the BVB into a global player, moving from custom IT services to standardised, scalable software products such as Bento FSM and Bento MDM, supported by an emerging international partner ecosystem.

After its listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in March 2022, Bento (2B INTELLIGENT SOFT S.A.), a Romanian entrepreneurial technology company specialised in the development of software solutions, IT services and cloud infrastructure, went through a period of accelerated expansion. Revenue grew significantly, and investments in its own solutions intensified year after year. More than three years after the listing, the company has entered a new strategic stage, oriented towards consolidating its position on the local market and expanding into international markets.

The plan is not built from scratch. Bento already delivers complex projects for multinational companies in Romania, the USA and Switzerland, has two mature products — Bento FSM and Bento MDM — with proven applicability in critical industries, and a team of specialists with clear processes, built over more than 20 years of complex projects. The direction is clear: the transition from a provider of custom services to a provider of standardised and scalable software products, supported by an ecosystem of international partners under construction.

Bento's activity is centred on the development of software solutions and IT infrastructure that optimise the operations of organisations with teams distributed in the field, active in industries such as utilities, energy, telecommunications and services. The company's key product, Bento Field Service Management (Bento FSM), offers real-time management of field teams, optimal planning of work orders, automation, route optimisation and mobile stock management. Complementarily, the Bento MDM solution allows the centralised management and securing of mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops, IoT systems, etc.), all from a single console, positioned as a SaaS product with the potential to scale internationally.

"The company's business is split relatively evenly between two directions: IT & cloud infrastructure, and custom software development and standardised products. Everything we do is centred on automation and optimisation. The main benefits are increased productivity, cost efficiency and traceability. We do not aim to replace people, but to augment their capabilities. Our solutions immediately improve the way of working and generate visible results, including in the financial area," says Vlad Bodea, co-founder of the company.

From double-digit growth to maturity and international expansion plans

The first years after the listing were marked by accelerated growth on all fronts. "Immediately after the listing, in the 2022–2024 period, we had extraordinary growth in both the business and the market capitalisation. They were years of double-digit growth on all fronts. Between 2020 and 2024 we doubled our team, and the development was visible at all levels, including in the pace of investment," explains Vlad Bodea.

This stage of rapid expansion left behind a more solid company — with clear processes, a consolidated team and its own products reaching maturity. The external context, however, has changed.

How it adapts in a rapidly changing IT industry

The IT services market, especially in the infrastructure area, is going through a complex period, marked by difficulties, but also by opportunities; however, for Bento, the changes in the industry are not an exception, but a constant.

"What for others may seem like accelerated change, for us is business as usual. The major transformations of this period concerned both the workforce and the tools used, especially with the emergence of artificial intelligence solutions. What differentiates us is that we entered this stage with a mature team and with solid experience behind us. We are open to new technologies – AI is a useful tool that we integrate responsibly – but we do not lose sight of the fact that people remain the main source of added value," says Vlad Bodea.

"Beyond the challenges, the current context also opens up opportunities. Global demand for software is constantly growing, and companies that combine operational experience with the ability to offer efficient and flexible solutions are well positioned to capitalise on them. This context generates important opportunities in the design and optimisation of IT infrastructure, including in the area of communications and the geographical distribution of cloud resources, in a landscape increasingly influenced by geopolitical factors and regional regulations," adds the Bento co-founder.

Investments in products, marketing and people

The sustainable growth strategy is based on consistent investments in intellectual property, proprietary products and in people.

"A central element of our strategy is investment in intellectual property, materialised in our own software products. We are continuing the transition from a provider of custom services to a provider of standardised and configurable products. We already have mature products, developed over more than 10 years, and the pace accelerated after the listing, including with the support of the capital raised and of the financing projects. Our flagship product, Bento Field Service Management, is competitive internationally, with a market potential not yet fully exploited. In the medium and long term we will continue to invest in promoting our own products, but also in building an ecosystem of partners to support international expansion," states Vlad Bodea.

Alongside investments in products, Bento treats the professional development of the team as a strategic investment, not as an optional benefit. The company allocates constant resources to developing the team — both on the technical and non-technical side. In an industry that changes rapidly, well-trained people are, ultimately, the most durable competitive advantage.

2026: focus on proprietary products and international expansion

For 2026, the company's strategy remains consistent with the directions announced since the listing, but with a stronger emphasis on scalability.

"We are in a process of transition from a services-oriented company to a product-oriented one. The objective is to increase the share of revenue from our own software products, licences and associated services. This process involves standardisation, developing partnerships and moving from custom projects to product management.

The second major direction is the orientation towards the international market. We continue to explore diverse channels to expand outside Romania. We expect the results to become increasingly visible in the coming period, as these initiatives materialise," Vlad Bodea concludes.
