What's the difference between the free trial and the free version?
Bento MDM is a paid platform starting at €1 per device per month. There is no free or freemium tier. The 14-day free trial is for evaluation only and provides full access to Standard plan capabilities so organizations can validate the platform before committing to an annual contract. Free MDM tiers from competitors typically exclude critical capabilities like content filtering and compliance reporting.
Is the trial available globally?
Yes. The Bento MDM free trial is available to organizations worldwide. The request form includes a country selector, and the Bento team handles enrollment for any region. The platform supports multi-language deployment and is currently operating across 30+ countries.
Does the trial include onboarding support?
Yes. Trial accounts include access to the Bento support team for setup assistance, policy configuration questions, and troubleshooting. The Bento team can schedule a guided onboarding session for organizations with larger pilots or complex deployment requirements. Standard support coverage applies during the trial.
How quickly can I get started with the trial?
Most organizations complete the request form and receive trial access within one business day. From there, device enrollment typically takes minutes per device using zero-touch onboarding, QR-code enrollment, or manual setup. A small pilot fleet (10 to 25 devices) can be fully enrolled and policy-configured within one to two hours.
Which devices and operating systems work with Bento MDM?
Bento MDM supports iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Android, Windows, and Linux devices. This includes Apple iPhones, iPads, and Macs, Android phones and tablets (consumer and rugged including Zebra, Samsung Galaxy XCover, and Honeywell), Windows laptops and desktops, and Linux endpoints. All supported devices can be enrolled during the trial.
Does the trial include on-premise MDM?
The standard 14-day trial runs on Bento Cloud MDM. On-premise MDM deployment is available on the Enterprise plan and requires a separate pilot setup with the Bento team. Organizations evaluating on-premise should book a call instead of starting the cloud trial, since on-premise pilots require deployment architecture that goes beyond standard cloud onboarding.
Can I extend the free trial?
Yes. Extensions are available on request for organizations that need more time to complete their evaluation, especially for larger fleets, on-premise pilots, or regulated environments where compliance validation takes longer than 14 days. Contact the Bento team during your trial to request an extension.
What happens when the trial ends?
At the end of the 14 days, your trial account does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. The Bento team will follow up with a pricing proposal based on your fleet size and deployment requirements. If you choose not to proceed, the trial tenant deactivates and your enrolled devices can be unenrolled or transferred to another MDM.
How many devices can I enroll during the trial?
The trial supports up to 25 devices by default, which is enough for most pilot deployments. Organizations testing larger fleets can request expanded trial capacity by indicating the device count on the request form. Bento's enrollment process supports zero-touch onboarding for Apple, Android, and Windows devices in minutes.
What's included in the 14-day free trial?
The trial includes the full Standard plan feature set: device enrollment, security policies, content filtering, kiosk lockdown, application management, location tracking, factory reset protection, remote view, compliance reporting, and API access. No features are gated during the trial. Trial accounts run on Bento Cloud MDM infrastructure with standard support.
Is a credit card required to start the trial?
No. The Bento MDM free trial does not require a credit card. Simply complete the request form with your organization details, fleet size, and contact information. The Bento team will reach out within one business day with enrollment instructions and tenant access.
How long is the Bento MDM free trial?
The Bento MDM free trial lasts 14 days. The trial gives organizations enough time to enroll actual devices, configure real policies, validate compliance reporting, and test integration with existing infrastructure before committing to an annual contract. Extensions are available on request for organizations that need additional evaluation time.
